Kimberly pham

The President of UAAC is charged with developing the strategic vision that directs club activities through collaboration with the faculty, the student body, and other groups both internal and external. This individual is then charged with aligning the various portfolios to make that vision a reality.

Kimberly is currently a third year Accounting major. Upon graduation, she hopes to obtain her CPA designation. During her spare time, she likes to discover new coffee shops to fuel her caffeine addiction. Despite the challenges of the online environment, she hopes to continue to carry out UAAC’s goal with the help of the executive team to create an exciting and valuable experience for everyone!

Executive Vice PresidenT

Ophelia Lam

As this year’s Vice-President Executive, Ophelia is responsible for coordinating all facets of UAAC to make UAAC’s vision a reality. Through sound strategy development, Michael helps to achieve financial goals, efficient operating performances, and budget objectives.

Ophelia is a third year student majoring in Accounting. During her free time she enjoys dancing, trying out new recipes, spending time with her family and friends, and most importantly she enjoys watching a lot of binge-worthy shows!

VP Marketing

Yuka josephraj

Yuka is back again as UAAC’s VP Marketing. She takes on the responsibility of creating effective strategies that communicate UAAC’s brand to the student population as well as external parties. Be sure to keep an eye out for her posters across campus this year!

Yuka is a third-year Marketing major with plans to attend law school after graduation. Over quarantine she was determined to better her baking abilities and she has now mastered how to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie! Already fluent in 4 languages, Yuka hopes to add on a few more to this list!

VP Academic

Sabeeh ali

As this years VP Academic he is here to help and support students with their accounting journey. Sabeeh manages a number of programs such as the tutor matching service and the CPA Speaker Series, that provides academic value to students.

Joining the team is Sabeeh as the VP Academic. This Fall, with the assistance of the Director Academic and the rest of the team, he looks forward to bringing about an amazing and UAAC’s first case competition (and hopes to see you there)! Outside of school, Sabeeh loves to cook, compete in case competitions, practice martial arts, and hang out with friends!

VP Communications

Raphael song

The primary role of VP communications is to maintain the efficiency of the organization by managing our project management system and any other internal communication solutions to ensure successful service delivery.

Raphael is in his third year of business majoring in accounting. In his free time he likes to play video games, watch basketball and Korean TV shows.

VP Events

Ria agarwal

Ria served on the team last year as Director External and is joining the team again as UAAC’s VP Events. Her responsibilities include overseeing the planning and implementation of various events such as the Annual Accounting Dinner.

Ria is a third year accounting co-op student. She loves to travel, and some of her favourite places are Hawaii, Australia and Greece. During covid, Ria has been keeping busy by spending her free time drawing, baking, and binge watching Netflix series. This year, she will be putting her creative skills to use for our online events!

VP External

Luke panteluk

As VP External, Luke works with various external organizations to develop mutually beneficial partnerships. Salesmanship and creativity on the part of the VP External allows the club to expand the value provided to students in a way that benefits both organizations.

Luke is a second-year Accounting Major. After graduation Luke has plans to complete his CPA certification and work in the accounting field. Outside of school you can catch Luke kicking back at the lake fishing or in the mountains shredding some pow.

VP Finance

Ivy zhou

As VP Finance, Ivy drives efficiency out of a substantial budget, oversees various internal controls and implements the issuance of various interim and year-end reports.

Ivy is in her second year of business majoring in Accounting, hoping to pursue her CPA designation after graduation. Outside of school, she enjoys binge watching The Office and Brooklyn 99. Recently she has been attempting to learn how to cook more than just instant ramen.

VP Tax

Jessie Mah

Jessie’s primary responsibility is the execution of UAAC's annual community volunteer income tax program with the assistance of the Tax Directors.

As one of the two Director Tax last year, Jessie is applying her leadership skills and basic tax knowledge as 2021’s VP Tax! Her primary responsibility is the execution of UAAC’s Annual Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. With the assistance of the VP Tax and Tax Directors, UAAC will be holding its first Virtual Tax Clinic in March!

vanessa quismorio

The responsibilities of the marketing director consist of assisting the VP Marketing in preparing marketing material for upcoming events, maintaining UAAC’s overall brand image, and creating new strategies to engage with students.

Vanessa is currently in her second year of business with a major in Marketing and a minor in Accounting. Outside of school, Vanessa can be found buying house plants, watching an unhealthy amount of anime, or hanging out with her family. She is excited to be part of such an amazing team and looks forward to meeting new people at the UAAC events!

Director Academic

Ana gomes

As this years Director Academic, Ana’s primary role is to provide assistance to the VP Academic by helping manage UAAC’s tutor service as well as organizing the speaker series, and the case competition.

Ana is currently finishing her first year of business majoring in Finance. She plans to pursue a CPA upon graduation. When she isn’t studying, she is at the gym trying to turn all the school stress into muscles or playing the guitar to relax. She loves to travel so the first thing she wants to do when the pandemic is over is going to Capri in Italy to eat lots of pasta and drink some good wine by the ocean.

Victor eng

As Director Events, Victor is responsible for assisting the VP Events with planning, logistics, and execution for the various UAAC events.

Victor is currently a first-year finance major at the School of Business. As an analytics nerd, he’s always down to solve a problem through his favourite tool – spreadsheets. When outside of school, Victor enjoys working out, skiing, and gaming.

somya tiwari

Somya is responsible for assisting the VP External in making external connections to allow for the expansion of the club in order to improve the value provided to students in a way that benefits both organizations.

Somya is in her first-year of business Majoring in Finance. She wants to be a financial consultant after graduation and hopefully go into law after. During her free time, especially now because fo Covid, she likes to spend a lot of time with family and friends. Somya loves being active, whether that's playing many sports and working out, or going on a walk with her dog, Bruno. In the future Somya hopes to travel to many different places as well as start her own podcast!

Kate is a first-year business student majoring in Finance and minoring in Accounting. Outside of class, Kate enjoys socializing, going for walks, or for hikes in nature with friends and family.

Kendall is a first-year accounting student who has plans on obtaining her CPA designation after graduation. She loves to spend her free time baking and knitting while binge-watching Netflix or listening to podcasts. And if the weather permits, she also enjoys going for walks to explore Edmonton.

Prichelle lal

As one of the three Tax Directors, Prichelle is responsible for assisting the VP Tax with all logistical functions and planning of the annual tax clinic.

Prichelle is in her fourth year of her Accounting degree with a minor in Management Information Systems. After graduation she hopes to work at a mid-sized accounting firm where she can complete her CPA designation. Outside of school, she enjoys playing and coaching soccer at a competitive level, working out, and watching hockey. In her free time (or when she really should be studying) you can find her at the nearest Starbucks feeding her coffee addiction!
